RAPID DISASTER RESPONSE
Currently responding to a disaster?
Footprint Project has equipment and expertise to make your disaster response more sustainable.

Disaster Response, Without the Fossil Fuels
Disaster response and recovery is typically carbon-intensive. As climate change drives emergency humanitarian needs, we rapidly deploy mobile solar generators and related off-grid equipment to power up responders and survivors.
How Rapid Response Works
-
Assessment and Deployment
Rapid Disaster Response involves a lot of communication and moving parts. As soon as we’re aware an event has happened, we begin mobilizing our team and our renewable energy equipment to help serve communities in need. We assess each site’s specific needs to avoid one-size-fits-all deficiencies.
-
Set Up and Troubleshooting
Having the right equipment can mean everything after a disaster. This could mean driving in a solar trailer to be a community hub for phone charging. Or, it could mean setting up a microgrid at a local fire station to refrigerate food and medication, power a Starlink and operate emergency lighting.
Coverage & Response Time
Based in both New Orleans, LA and Asheville, NC, with equipment staged across the US, Footprint Project is positioned to respond to nearly any disaster within 24 hours. In the past, we’ve responded to the Maui Wildfires, California Wildfires, Texas storm outages and countless locations across the storm-ridden southeastern and central US. We have team members, volunteers and partners poised to assist with power outages in vulnerable areas.
