UPCYCLE ENERGY PROGRAM
We created the Upcycle Energy store to make our sustainable technology resources easily accessible to community organizations for disaster responses and other clean energy projects. Through this program, we repurpose new and used-but-functional green infrastructure by distributing to select nonprofit and service organizations for their climate disaster response or recovery or other renewable energy projects.
Our free or low-cost products and services include:
Renewable energy hardware donated to us, such as solar panels

Referrals to installers or assistance with finding a local installer
We vet each organization to ensure they are a good fit to participate in the Upcycle Energy program and support our mission of providing cleaner energy to communities in crisis. Footprint Project’s goal for this program is to share our mobile solar power expertise and upcycle our sustainable technology resources that would otherwise be idle in storage.

HOW IT WORKS
Choose your item(s). All available parts and solar panel pallets are listed with a $0 price. The admin fee for each item is listed in the description. Add your item(s) to the cart and check out.
We will get back to you within a week with an estimate for the admin fees and shipping timeline.
If you approve the estimate, we will invoice you for the listed admin fee and the shipping. If you do not approve the estimate, items will be re-listed in the store. Please note, the cost to ship is just an estimate; you will be responsible for paying any difference in cost. We are happy to provide documentation.
Services
Our Technical Consultations are suitable for folks both with and without a technical background.
If you have a technical background, we can help wire a diagram, consult on how to mount solar panels on a trailer, or support in other ways.
If you have little-to-no technical background, we can assist with:
Developing a project’s scope:
questions that you, your team, and/or your partner organization(s) may have
strategy and implementation
what to order from the portal and other items needed for the install
Comprehensive, full-cycle technical support with you and/or the local installer team
Terms
The price listed in the store is the cost of the consultation only. Consultations are available by phone or video meetings.
Available in 30-minute time blocks, which must be used all at once. Follow-up consultations are available to book in the portal, under the same terms.
We have limited availability each month for technical consultation bookings. Consultations must be scheduled within 90 days. If either of us need to reschedule, you’ll be granted an optional time extension.

501(c)(3) determination letter
Financial documents: either Form 990, balance sheet, or most recent Profit and Loss statement. If you don’t have any of these documents, please share the reason.
If your organization does not have these financial documents, please upload a written statement as a PDF to share why these documents are not available.
Step 2: Verification
Footprint Project will verify your documents. If the application meets our goal for the program, we will send you an agreement to review and sign.
Step 3: Access Granted
Footprint Project will send you login information to our store.
